The FHNW campus restaurant in Olten is using in the “Toogoodtogo” app to sell on unsold food for a very low price after the restaurant has closed. In this way it is making a sustainable contri-bution to preventing food waste in this country. An estimated 2.8 million tons of food are thrown away every year in Switzerland.
The app was developed in Denmark and is spreading rapidly.
