Together with the FHNW rover team we developed a mars rover capabale of autonmous navigation on a mars like terrain.

Developing the software for a rover built at the FHNW to fullfill various tasks autonmously. Additionally develop tools that allow the operator of the rover to control the rover.
The FHNW Rover started working on the rover in HS21 with the goal of competing in the european rover challenge in sepetember 2022 . We started our project in FS22, with the main task being the navigation of the rover.
We developed software to find the most efficient path along given waypoints, implemented a way to keep track of the rovers position without using GPS, and a algorithm that travels along the calculated path. Additionally we implemented a software for the remote control of the rover, including a visualisation of the rover in a virtual environment.
This video demonstrates the capabalities of the rover and also intruduces the project team.
