As part of the IP5 project a software was developed to visualize data from simulations of accidents in nuclear power plants.
Angular, Typescript, Python, FastApi, MongoDB
The aim of the project was to visualize the large amount of data. An application was to be created that would incorporate the data and present it to the user in the clearest possible way.
Software is used to simulate an accident at a nuclear power plant. The program delivers a binary file, which is processed into text files using Python scripts. A software already exists which is used by PSI. However, this does not have an ideal workflow for the researchers and does not offer the required flexibility. Now our application should take these text files and visualize the data in a way that replaces the existing application.
The result of the project is a web application that reads the text files from the simulation software into a database. A user interface retrieves the data and visualizes it with the help of graphs. The graphs can now be used to analyze the simulation and gain further insights.
