The CoKoS web application aims to support teachers evaluating and assisting their students in terms of self regulated learning.

Project goal

The goal is to build a web application in which secondary level students in Switzerland can self-evaluate their self-regulated learning (SRL), and the secondary level teachers can monitor and support their students becoming competent in SRL. Our client should also have access to the raw data and be able to export those in order to further improve and develop the tests and questions.

Initial situation

Since the introduction of the new curriculum ("Lehrplan 21"), teachers are required to help and support their students' competences. Currently, there is no available platform to specifically diagnose students' self-regulated learning competences. Therefore, we are creating this tailor-made platform together with our customer PH FHNW as well as in cooperation with the "Bildungsraum Nordwest-Schweiz".

Benefits of your solution

With our newly built application, the client can show the software and its concept to the "Bildungsraum Nordwest-Schweiz". The final goal will be the distribution of the software for productive use in real schoolclasses.

There, our application will help students assess their current self-regulated learning skills, give them tips and feedback on how to get better at certain aspects.

The students teachers will be able to have an overview of their classes and their test results. This will help them support their students in acquiring more knowledge in terms of self-regulated learning.

Our client will be able to export the data to analyze it and use the findings to improve the existing tests.

Results
