The goals of the warehouse inventory management system are to;
Refy is a non-profit organisation that provides logistical support to other non-profits. Its main service is making the transportation of donated goods from one location to another more efficient and simpler. They achieve this by bundling supplies into standardised containers and shipping them in bulk. They also hide the actual logistics required for such a service from other non-profits. To successfully execute this mission Refy requires a warehouse inventory management system.
A working prototype of the warehouse management system is available and due to be rolled out soon. Automatic label detection is possible in controlled environments but becomes unreliable outside of these. The GS1 identification system is successfully embedded in the system.
Detecting selected icons on a label and saving them to a database.
Finding corners of a label to crop for the recognition process.
