Swissplatz is a company that supports clients in finding apartments and housing options in Switzerland. Our AI-powered solution simplifies and speeds up the search process for Swissplatz's mediation team.

Initial situation

Swissplatz is a rental mediation company that helps clients, which are often from abroad, find apartments in Switzerland. Clients do not communicate directly with landlords. Instead, all interactions go through Swissplatz as the mediator. The current process is manual and time-consuming, consisting of three phases:

1. Searching: Mediators gather preferences from clients and manually search for matching listings across platforms.
2. Administration: Communication and document handling between clients and landlords is handled manually, with varying requirements from each landlord.
3. Viewing: Mediators organize apartment viewing appointments.

Problem statement / Project goal

The current rental mediation workflow at Swissplatz is highly manual and time-consuming. Mediators must search across multiple platforms, manage client preferences via Excel, and handle communication and document exchange individually for each case. This slows down the process and limits the number of clients that can be supported efficiently. The goal of the project is to develop an AI-supported platform that automates key parts of the rental mediation process. It will centralize client data and automatically gather listings from various sources. This will allow mediators to work more efficiently and offer a better experience to clients.

Solution developed and its benefits

The developed solution is a web-based platform that supports Swissplatz mediators throughout the rental mediation process.
The main key features are as followed:

• Overview of chatbots with the possibility to create multiple chatbots at once.
• A chatbot with natural input, which allows you to take your housing preferences.
• Algorithm which searches various platforms with preferences that were given to the chatbot.
• List overview of all matching housing options with the possibility of pinning, liking and disliking them.
• Individual naming of the chatbots, so that the overview is still guaranteed.

Our developed solution makes the searching process easier and more efficiently for the swissplatz mediators. This system enables Swissplatz mediators to handle multiple client cases in parallel, without losing track of context or preferences. Each chatbot functions as a personalized assistant that gathers specific housing requirements through natural language input. The AI interprets these inputs and transforms them into structured search queries, which are then used to automatically search various Swiss housing platforms. The platform not only saves time but also enhances the quality of search results by continuously refining preferences through interactive conversations. Mediators can easily review all results in a user-friendly list, mark relevant listings, and dismiss unsuitable ones.

By reducing repetitive tasks and centralizing all information in one place, the tool significantly increases efficiency and scalability for the Swissplatz team, ultimately improving the overall experience for both mediators and their clients.
