Ludwig Hook

Initial situation

LUDWIG SYSTEM GmbH & Co. KG is a German company that develops and produces remote-controlled lifting hooks and related equipment. The hooks are fitted with a microcontroller and a load cell, which enable them to store and transmit data collected during use. This data includes information about their actions and the loads they carry.

Problem statement / Project goal

The company currently faces an inconvenient process of retrieving data from the hooks and load cells. The current system relies on multiple device-specific applications without centralized data storage. This lack of a unified platform hinders long-term usage analysis and intuitive data interpretation. Additionally, it is currently very challenging and inconvenient for the Ludwig System’s customers to view the data of their devices.
