Ski Instructor Booking

The mobile-app is providing a booking platform for a ski instructors association. It is designed to fully reduce booking time and allow bookings to be made from a ski lift.

Initial Situation/Problem statement

For many years, the back office of the private company Ski Teachers Gstaad has used printed Excel sheets to organize the bookings of its teachers. The current process of assigning ski instructors is time-consuming and error-prone, and it is not suitable for outdoor use on the ski slopes due to issues such as wet sheets, malfunctioning pens in cold weather, and difficulties in reading tiny printouts leading to confusion in row assignment.

Project Goal

The goal is to develop a mobile application for the client that streamlines the process of assigning clients to ski instructors. The app must allow for easy data entry during client calls and provide an overview of available instructors listed by different criteria. It should also facilitate direct communication between the client and chosen instructor, as well as send auto-generated confirmation messages to prevent errors and speed up the booking process.

                        Furthermore, it shows the calendar, which is the most important feature of the project.
                        In the calendar, it is possible to filter by the different sports and see the availability of the instructors at a glance.
Booking Overview
                        
 On the booking page, users can view the bookings they have already registered. Each morning and afternoon of the day has its own tab.
                    Furthermore, there is an automatic text generator for the customers (DE, FR, EN) and for the ski instructors in the respective booking.
Teamplaner and Calendar
                        
With the team planer, one or more instructors can be manually set to busy.
                    In addition to the overview of booked mornings and afternoons being displayed on the calendar, the respective booking can also be accessed by click.

Developed Solution and its benefit

With this user-friendly, mobile-first application, users can easily assign bookings to ski instructors by inputting the customer's details and viewing available instructors using different criteria. They can directly call chosen instructors and send autogenerated confirmation messages with all the necessary information, streamlining the booking process and minimizing errors.

For the user it is now possible:

to create a booking with one or multiple instructors and time slots
to see the vacancy of instructors in the calendar
to set instructors as busy manually
to get an overview of the bookings
to manually adjust bookings
to add/remove/edit instructor team
to generate an automatic text in German, French and English
to export data for an editable Excel file
