To develop a collaboration platform that enables early IT technology trends detection by allowing easy and intensive collaboration of the stakeholders within the company. This gives the company a significant market advantage over its competitors. Through this project, students get the opportunity to expand their technical and methodological skills in the agile software development area and to gain their first practical experience in a professional environment. In return, the customer receives a product that generates significant added value for the Research & Development department and is developed by using the latest technologies.
The company does not have a common tool where IT trends can be recorded and made available to internal stakeholders. Current innovations are only managed by one person, which means that collaboration is only possible in a circuitous way. The company runs the risk of missing out on possible trends, which can have a negative impact on customers and the company's success.
The solution brings numerous advantages for the employees as well as for the management. While the employees always have the possibility to publish new IT trends, management now receives an instrument that provides an overview of the identified innovations. As employees share their discoveries and experiences with each other and evaluate the innovations, it is possible to recognize trends at an early stage. Management can thus act more quickly and implement solutions to potential trends or include them in the corporate strategy. Furthermore, the platform contains numerous other features that serve collaboration, user experience or IT security.
The Techradar application contains three main parts:
The landing page is the first page that loads after a user successuflly authenticated. Here users get a quick overview on the latest news, trends and peer information.

On this page users are able to conduct searches over every contributed technology or trend that was contributed within the company.

The idea detail page contains in depth information concerning a technology of interest. Moreover people can share their opinion on that particular technology by adding a comment-like review. If the author of that idea needs to change details of it, he can do by updating the information shown on the right side of this image.
