Our application helps pupils understand the concept of feedback loops.
The project goal was to develop an app, running on both iOS and Android, for use in the classroom to help pupils learn about feedback loops.
At times, some teachers struggle to teach the concept of feedback loops. The idea is quite complicated and difficult to understand. At the moment, there are no commonly used resources to help educate pupils about feedback loops.
The app makes learning fun and teaching easy. The fun comes from the interactve way the concept is explored in the app. It supports teachers and provides a good basis for teaching feedback loops.
We have implemented the following functionality:
Theory screen for the first lesson:
Overview of the chapters inside the first lesson:
Create a new room for collaboration:
Join a room:
Classroom view with the simulation visible:
Semesters: 2
Hours: 2340
Team size: 7 during third semester, 6 during fourth semester
Project work in third semester: user research, definition of app contents, prototype, usability testing,
first version of app with one lesson (without simulation)
Project work in fourth semester: added simulation, improved design and code quality, implemented
flexible lesson structure
