The goal of this project is to deliver a fully working web-app allowing our client can manage container incidents effortlessly, including detailed information and images. Fleet managers are able to track the current status and view the entire incident history of a container.
An essential part of a technical fleet manager's job is to always have an up-to-date overview of the status of the containers. It is important to know which ones are available and which ones are under maintenance. However, since the information from the depots is mostly received via uncoordinated e-mails and phone calls, the reality often looks quite different. After receiving images, descriptions, and documents about container incidents, fleet managers need to organize everything within different places. When information on a particular container is needed, it has to be gathered tediously. In addition to the time required, it also increases the susceptibility to errors and the risk of losing information.
With the new Fleet Maintenance App, organization is made easy. A central platform will be available for technical fleet managers, on which all information about container incidents can be stored in a clearly structured way. In addition to simple filing, finding information is made easier: various filter and search options allow the history and current status of containers to be tracked quickly. The central storage of data in the application also facilitates cooperation and collaboration between multiple managers.
Fleet Maintenance offers the following features:
| Project duration | 2 semesters |
| Total hours | 2160 hours (180h per person/semester) |
| Team size | Project team consists of 6 part-time students |
