The CNC project team designed a CNC data manager for the communication between CNC-machines and a CNC-program management system for the company Samuel Werder AG
The goal of this project was to create a software which provides a the client a userfriendy userinterface without unnecessary features. The web-app will allow a more efficient access to data. It will also be easier to implement future software changes.
The current software is maintaned from germany. The technician in charge of the service meanwhile is over 60 years old. In order to be prepared for some sudden problems, our customer asked the FHNW for help. Furthermore, the database currently in use is proprietary and outdated. Workers waste a lot of time by searching data. On top of that, a lot of data is stored in the database which does no belong there.
With a very new setted up data base and a state of art implemented wep-app the product is:
The user has a clear overview compared to his current software in use. On top of that, the simplicity of the design allows a great userexperience.
